Investment casting is typically utilized to achieve precise dimensions and tight tolerance applications.  It’s commonly used for small, hand-held sized castings, but not limited to smaller shapes. One of the greatest advantages is reduction or elimination of post-machining requirements given the tight tolerances the process can maintain, which saves a lot of cost on the turnkey part.​
